1. VENUE Place: The Guildhall, Cattle Market, Sandwich, Kent CT13 9AHTime: Wednesday evenings from 5.30pm until 10.00pmIt is the responsibility of The Committee to see the hall is opened and securely closed at the end of the evening
2. EQUIPMENT No clothing or equipment is to be removed from the club without the permission of a committee member. The condition of the clothing and equipment will be checked on a regular basis and logged. The condition and repairs are the sole responsibility of the club armourer. A committee member may sanction repair costs and any new purchases required.
3. SAFETY There must always be a qualified coach in attendance over the age of 18 and a responsible adult, when the club is open.Masks,
jackets (with protectors for females), gloves and boxes (for males) to
be worn and properly adjusted when under training. Plastrons are to be
worn at all times.All adults to see beginners and junior members adhere to these requirements at all times.
4. PROMOTIONAL EVENTS AND COMPETITIONS Quarterly club championships to be run in all three weapons and cups awarded to age groups and adult master at arms.The
Committee must take responsibility for all fund raising and advertising
to increase membership and equipment where necessary.Promotional events and fund raising are not necessarily restricted to Wednesday evenings.
5. FINANCE The
Treasurer is responsible for cash in hand transactions, prompt payment
of bills, fees etc. Any accumulation should be banked accordingly.
6. SUBSCRIPTIONS The club evening fee is a flat £6.00, including a hall charge of £1.00, per session.The Annual Club Membership Fee is £25.00 and you will receive a membership pack on payment of this fee.Fees for Non-Members will be £10.00
7. MEMBERSHIP AND DISCIPLINE 18Acceptance and refusal of any application for membership shall be at the discretion of the Committee.All fencers are required to register before commencing activities and on leaving the premises.All Club Members should be members of the BFA.Members
are reminded that they fence at their own risk and are responsible for
their own personal property and actions including care of the premises.All matters concerning discipline will be dealt with by the committee whose decision will be final.
